DJ Miss Kitty

Paige Elise remembers first being turned on to the classic sound of early house and techno by The Electrifying Mojo’s radio show where Detroit masters The Wizard (Jeff Mills), Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson could be heard. In 1985, gritty venues like The City Club and Todd’s filled with the experimental sounds of Nitzer Ebb, Ministry and Ofra Haza laid a framework for a style of dj’ing that would later dub her as the Late Nite Lil Mama.
