Just like a recipe, a website needs to have quality ingredients to create a quality dish (meaningful content).
It is also true that when you add sound, animation, Java applets and graphics, your web site takes a longer time to load, and some of your visitors may not bother to wait for it to load; they’ll just go away.
However, putting those two together does not actually mean that all the pages have to have animation / sound..
The trick is to know how to combine all elements into a presentation, and gain the most bang for your buck to rank in search engines, by utilizing Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
